Metro Machinery Group of Companies was founded by the Burapachaisri family which has more than 30 years of experience in the heavy equipment , engine and foundry businesses.

Today, the groups largest company is Metro Machinery Company Limited(MMC), the authorized Caterpillar Dealer in Thailand since 1977, Metro Machinery sell and services the complete Caterpillar machine and engine product lines for construction , mining , material handling , agriculture , forestry , petroleum , marine and power generation industries. MMC also sells auxiliary equipment for Caterpillar products and allied products.

With 30 branches and a well-trained staff of some 922 people, Metro Machinery offers Caterpillar equipment users the most extensive parts and service facilites in Thailand.
